LOOK AT MY BIKE LOG: BIKE-FRIENDLY ESTABLISHMENTS
1. Robinson’s Galleria
It tops my list kasi dito ako madalas.
May Tater’s, may Mary Grace, Pancake House, Netopia (‘pag nagloloko wi-fi nila), magagandang cinema, magkaka-Toys R’ Us pa! Hands down, the best mall for me.
2. Robinson’s Metro East
3. Blue Wave Marikina
Siyempre pa, this is the city that brought you the bike lanes and bike racks all over. Open-air nga lang ang paradahan. Libre.
4. Megamall
May mga bike racks sa paradahan ng mga motor in each of the buildings, du’n sa side ng Podium at San Miguel. From there puwede ka nang lumipat ng Podium, EDSA Shang, St. Francis. Open-air nga lang ‘to. May guards. Libre.
5. Marikina Riverbanks
Maraming bike racks sa paligid. May guards. Libre. Ayos ‘to!
And now the worst…
• Eastwood City
Used to be a good place for cyclists tapos ito pa ang nearest mall from my place.
Now I wouldn’t mind paying a twenty-peso flat rate for a covered, guarded parking space if only there were bike racks.
• Gateway Mall
This has got to be cyclist’s hell! Hello??? Cubao pa rin ‘to, noh!!!
Philippine Everest Team member Noelle Wenceslao was once mauled by guards for riding here. They tried to take her bike away. Mga gago.
• Harbor Square, CCP Complex
Isa pa’tong pretentious establishment. Building ng Pancake House, Tapa King, Mocha Blends sa tabi ng CCP Parking Lot, facing the bay where people row and sail, fronting a known jogging and biking area.
